Take Skin Care
For once we have had great weather this spring which means those layers of clothes cover are starting to be removed. Not always a welcome thought for those who suffer from skin problems. Exposing our skin can also generate a ticking health time bomb if we don't consider environmental effects such as the effects of the sun.
Having healthy looking skin reflects so much on how we feel emotionally as it's the first thing people see so having a skin problem can really influence our confidence and self-esteem. Skin conditions can also be chronically uncomfortable and limit various aspects of our life or just make day to day living so much more difficult.
The skin also reflects our internal state of health because any health problem that undermines your natural balance, immunity or nutritional requirements will impact on the skin. The body has an internal transportation system that is continually moving around nutrients, energy, hormones and chemicals required to keep every cell in full working order. Its also vital in the removal of things you don't want hanging around such as toxic waste and harmful bacteria. Transporting stuff to the skin is the body's equivalent of Lands End or John O Groats, the farthest reaches of this amazing network so its no surprise its often the first thing to suffer when health problems occur.
Dealing with existing or avoiding skin problems can be problematic as it is never usually one thing that can help, more usually a holistic approach including positive lifestyle and dietary changes as well as conventional means of therapy.
